Honouring the Legacy of East Bengal Legend Late Paltu Das through an Under-12 School Football Tournament
The noble initiative undertaken by the Central Calcutta Veterans Sports Club to organize an Under-12 School Football Tournament in honor and remembrance of the legendary East Bengal Club stalwart, Late Paltu Das, truly deserves heartfelt appreciation.
Such initiatives play a vital role in nurturing interest in sports among young children and in shaping a healthy, disciplined, and sports-loving future generation. Grassroots-level tournaments like this not only encourage participation but also help instill values of teamwork, dedication, and fair play from an early age.
Going beyond mere words of praise, and as a mark of deep respect for the memory of Late Paltu Das and with a firm commitment toward the development of sports among children and adolescents, the Paltu Das Memorial Social Welfare Association handed over a cheque of ₹10,000 (Rupees Ten Thousand) at the club premises in support of this tournament.
We firmly believe that through this competition, many young and talented footballers will get a valuable platform to showcase their skills and potential. More importantly, the ideals, vision, and immense love for football that Late Paltu Das stood for will continue to inspire and resonate strongly within the next generation.
Joy East Bengal ❤️💛
