Financial Support to Sayan Saha,who has been battling Septicaemia.

Our former East Bengal Club Secretary, renowned sports administrator, and architect of modern East Bengal, the late Deepak Das (Paltuda), devoted his life to the welfare of people and society. Inspired by his ideals and committed to carrying forward his legacy, the Paltu Das Memorial Social Welfare Association was established.

The organisation’s aim is not only to promote sports but also to work for the greater good of society. In this spirit, financial assistance was sought from our members to support Sayan Saha ( 20 years old) , a member of Paltuda’s team and East Bengal Club member, who has been battling septicaemia.

Every team member contributed generously. Earlier, on 3rd November, we handed over ₹1,37,500 to Sayan’s family for initial treatment. Today, under the instructions of East Bengal Club’s top leadership and in the presence of our General Secretary, Mr. Bikash Dutta, committee members Gautam Das (Tarak) and Sandeep Das (Ontu) handed over an additional ₹1,24,300.

In total, the team has contributed ₹2,61,800 within a short time.

Though the amount may be small compared to the full medical expenses, it carries the blessings, goodwill, and solidarity of every member and their families—something far more valuable than money. 🙏

Standing beside people in their time of need is what Paltuda always taught us. Supporting Sayan’s family today is a true reflection of that philosophy. We hope to continue many such humanitarian initiatives in the future with the same unity and dedication.
