Support and Solidarity for Injured East Bengal Supporter Rajarshee Bardhan

About 15 days ago, Rajarshee Bardhan, the only son of Sandeep Bardhan—one of the members of Paltuda’s team—and a devoted East Bengal supporter, met with a serious bike accident. He was on his way for some personal work when the incident occurred. His bike collided with a bus, causing severe injuries. By God’s grace, he survived the accident.

Shortly after the incident, the news reached Paltuda’s team committee members—Gautam Das (Tarak), Prashanta Dutta, and Tilak De. Acting immediately under the guidance and supervision of our club and team guardian, Debabrata Sarkar, several senior and junior members of Paltuda’s team made prompt arrangements to admit him to PG Hospital and ensured that he received proper medical attention. Some members also contributed financial assistance within their means.

However, due to complications arising from his initial surgery at PG Hospital, he later had to be shifted to a private nursing home. This too was arranged under the supervision of Debabrata Sarkar, with the active involvement and cooperation of team members, who again extended financial support as much as possible.

Inspired by Paltuda’s principles and ideals, this team—formed in his name—continues to uphold his vision. Paltuda always believed in serving people beyond the realm of sports. He consistently looked for ways to help others in times of distress. We honour his values even today and strive to follow the path he showed us, working for the welfare of people and society. The efforts mentioned above are simply a reflection of that commitment.

At present, after completing the necessary treatment at the nursing home, Rajarshee has been brought home in a stable condition. On behalf of everyone in the team, we pray to the Almighty for his complete and speedy recovery so that this young, energetic boy can soon return to his normal life.
